Viticus Group's WVC Nashville debut breaks the established conference pattern.
The conference offered more than 400 hours of continuing education, an exhibit hall with more than 300 exhibitors, and more than 15 hands-on lab trainings at the company's new Nashville education center. Attendees included veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers and other veterinary professionals. The event coincided with the opening of two adjacent education centers near Nashville International Airport, adding nearly 80,000 square feet of training space expected to accommodate more than 15,000 participants annually when fully operational.
That is not a pop-up. That is a permanent facility with a recurring calendar slot.
What the permanent facility actually signals
The Nashville launch does two things the established model said you couldn't do at the same time: it keeps the flagship Vegas conference running AND creates a second anchor event with comparable programming depth.
The exhibit hall drew more than 300 exhibitors. For practices, it means another programming window to consider. For DVMs in regions closer to Nashville, it means different travel math.
"Launching WVC Nashville isn't just about opening a new location; it's a bold step forward in making world-class continuing education more accessible and inclusive than ever before," says Andrea Davis, CEO of Viticus Group.
The accessibility claim is real if you are in Nashville's regional draw. The question is whether running multiple major events maintains the programming depth and exhibitor commitment that made the concentrated model work.

Who benefits from the old model staying believed
The single-anchor conference model worked for some practices and left others out. The Nashville model bets that the DVMs who found the existing conference options difficult will show up when the location and timing change, and that 400+ hours of programming plus a permanent facility will draw them at scale.
The thing we are actually watching
Whether competitors follow. If WVC Nashville draws recurring attendance at scale, every other major CE provider will have to decide whether their own conference model leaves regional accessibility gaps.
The conference also featured entertainment, including the Nash Bash Block Party, a General Session with Miranda Lambert and the Tails & Tunes music festival, which included performances by Blanco Brown, Uncle Kracker and Gretchen Wilson. That is the full-conference experience, the question is whether the new location and timing draw sustained attendance.
Viticus Group continues to host its flagship WVC Annual Conference in Las Vegas. The risk in our read: if the new event doesn't sustain the launch momentum, the multi-city model gets harder to justify. The upside: if it works, CE access genuinely broadens.
What would prove us wrong: the new event loses momentum, and the permanent facility shifts to smaller regional programming. What would prove the model right: other major CE providers launch their own multi-city strategies.
